My photographic career started as part of my work (I am a former academic), but quickly evolved to include numerous other genres. Photography for me combines a number of different passions. It enables me to enjoy everything around me so much more, because it forces me to see. It also makes interacting with the world around me much more meaningful. I am also quite passionate about editing my photos. The computer and the photosoftware that runs on it give me another chance to engage creatively with my images. Finally, being active on various forums lets me interact with others and that is a great learning experience.
